These past couple years have been challenging to say the least. I personally, have dealt with a lot of death, both extended family and friends, as well as personal tragedy. We went from a family of 4, to now just myself and my youngest son who is about to turn 8 next month. And not only do I have to carry that grief myself, but I have to constantly be aware of how everything has, is, and will continue to affect him. Whether I care to or not, I am now mom and dad. I put on a smile when I want to fall apart, I don’t dare let him see how much it breaks my heart when he wishes his brother was here. Or the moments he comes home almost in tears because all the other kids in class bragged about how awesome their dad was, that it’s just not fair that he doesn’t have his. I know, as a faithful woman of God, my go to is heaven and how as much as it hurts today we will all be together again one day. So, when the weight is heavy and the days get long, it’s so wonderful to be able to connect to WayFM!! I realize I am not alone, and no matter my momentary trials, God has a plan for us! I could use some prayers for guidance. To hold on when I stumble, to get straight when I wander too far
