Please pray for my relationship with my son. Even though I’m not his biological father, I’ve raised him from 6 months old and he’s now 14. For about a year now we have been at odds over lots of issues and there have been many angry words and raised voices. Between the influences at school and the pandemic, it seems like he has become a different person. I can’t seem to connect with him no matter what I try. He has even told me that he thinks I’m pathetic and has no respect for me. My father had lots of rage and disconnection issues and all I want is to not continue that toxic trend with my kids. Please pray for my son and for me as well. God help me to speak life and encouragement but also to stand my ground in this tough season. Help me to emulate Jesus in my words and actions.
