My 19 year-old son was just arrested and now faces serious charges. He was in another state, in the middle of a program to help him (with therapy & life coach) — and he completely feel off the rails. He was drinking heavily, had recently walked out of the program, was homeless/couch surfing, and now…got into a fight with another young man, damaged his belongings, and is now facing multiple criminal charges. My son is lost – he is nothing like the young man we brought up. He cares about no one, nothing, and has lost all motivation to even be part of society. As parents, we are crushed to see this happening to our child. I’ve been praying and praying, and his situation is only getting worse…. I am filled with regret (could we have done more/better as parents?) and with deep despair and fear about my son’s future. We all need God in a big way right now…
