Before I say what it is I would like prayer for, I would like to say what I am thankful for. I am thankful for 3 beautiful kids and a husband that is faithful to me and is not abusive. I am thankful for a nice house, car to drive, and that I have 2 jobs. My main job as a school bus driver has paid through this Covid disaster!
Here’s what I am struggling with: I feel I have no true friends. The one friend I have for 35 years moved to a new town ( only 15 min away) about 8 years ago and made new friends and also connected with old ones. She won’t return my calls anymore. About 6 months ago she started making excuses for not being able to get together. I have made new friends, but none I trust as much as the friend I have lost.
Here’s why it’s difficult to be my friend. Mental illness runs in my family. Both my grandmother and mother had/have bipolar and my father was an alcoholic. Thankfully, I do not struggle with these issues. Sometimes I do struggle with depression though. My oldest daughter has border line personality and major depressive disorder. I have lost a lot of friends both at church and just in general over the past 8 years due to her behaviors. M
