I have shared custody of my son, whom I have the majority of the time due to past behaviors that are not permissible. My heart breaks whenever he is away from me for more than a day as it is and vacation time away is extremely challenging. Now, the other parent is now asking for more time. Past behaviors have improved and our co-parenting has been going well; however, this is not something I am willing to grant as old habits/patterns always reoccur. I am not very good with my communication on tough topics and can get ‘bullied’ into giving more than I am comfortable with. I already feel like a part of my heart is being ripped away just from the request. So I am reaching out for prayers of guidance, strength, communication and whatever else you feel could help me deal with this situation. Thank you!
