My husband and I are in a spiritual battle. We feel God has called us to a new town and opportunity in Utah. This would be an incredible journey and ministry for our God. It also means cutting our income by half. When my husband had a conversation with his boss about this move they came back and said they don’t want to lose him, and offered a large bonus that they would pay if he stays one year. This is tempting for my husband because it would mean we’re debt-free in 12 months. Including the $20,000 we owe my in-laws. His biggest desire is to be debt-free. We feel called and feel the enemy is using this to keep us here. No one my husband has sought counsel from said “Yes, take the money and stay.” But so many have said we feel God has called you to this opportunity. My husband is struggling. Please pray for him. I know the answer, but he can’t get over the monetary idea of being debt-free. I feel if we weren’t doing God’s will this temptation wouldn’t have come about.
