Please pray for my 16 yr old. 4.0 gpa, perfect attendance, wants to be a Pilot, does every sport at school. Volunteer Fire Explorer (fireman in training). Has lots of friends at school and church. He works so hard. Great personality and attitude about pretty much everything. We believe he is saved. He works so hard during the school year but now that the sports has ended and schools wrapping up it’s like he has hit a wall. He started out saying I just want a break. I don’t want to work or have a commitment after school. So we though, ok maybe just for a few weeks he can take off but we still encouraged him to look for a job. We’ve tried to guide him in how to apply, build resume etc. but he just doesn’t have any interest in getting off the couch. Over the last summer he worked so hard to lose 30 lbs. he was so dedicated and athletic and now he only wants to play video games. It takes us asking him multiple times to (insert chore) for him to do it. He says there is nothing wrong just wants a break from having so much responsibility. But how long is too long before he just gives up on everything he has worked so hard for? Praying for our son and laying him at Jesus’s feet.
