I suffer from daily chronic headaches. They start at a level “kill me now” when I first wake up. Within a little while as I am distracted by the tasks of the day, they are less painful, but never gone. Several times throughout the day and when I wake up through the night, they are back to piercing. I was taking a medication that worked to ease the pain (never completely) but it has stopped working. I am supposed to try a new medication but it has more side effects. I have prayed about this on and off for years. Lately God has put on my heart 2 Chronicles 16:12 “… he did not seek the Lord’s help, but turned only to his physicians.” Please pray with me that if it is His will, He will heal me before I am to start taking the new meds and if not, that the side effects will be minimal. His will be done. Thank you.

God answered this prayer request. This is how:

I suffered with daily level 10 (kill-me-now) headaches for years. After trying everything with my neurologist including several drugs, acupuncture, diet changes, etc., we landed on an injection that could take it down to a livable level 4. My small group and I have prayed on and off for the better part of 2 years. When that medication stopped working the next one to try had side effects that I wasn't okay with. God impressed on my heart to post on the prayer wall. The responses were wonderful, but I didn't get that instant relief we all want. Just that reminder that God's timing is not our timing. That's why I'm posting this a few months after the original. Although not "cured," I am having fewer bad days and several where I wake up without any headache at all. That is HUGE! God is so good! I just wanted to thank the people who prayed for me as well as encourage those who post not to give up just because the answer isn't immediate. Romans 12:12 (NIV) "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
