My request is actually for my Assistant Pastor. Over twenty years ago, he walked into our church as a drug addict and gave his life to Christ. He then became the church’s youth leader and then assistant pastor. He met his wife in our church, and they traveled with my wife’s family as they evangelized across the country for a couple of years. They then had two sons and raised them in the church. Both sons grew up to become amazing musicians. The oldest son even sang and preached some. As a fellow member of the worship team, my wife and I started noticing changes in the two sons. Just the way they acted, they stopped talking to people, their attitudes towards music changed, they started listening to secular music. (I’m not saying that is a sin, but it’s a big deal when God has called you to play music for the King, and you start playing for other purposes.) Listening to different styles of music wouldn’t have been a big deal, but we saw their demeanor and attitudes change.
